Be EV Wise rebuilt. New: efficiency, official WLTP range, 10–80% charging time, AC charging, heat pump, vehicle-to-load, dimensions and weight for every pure EV, and boot, towing, economy and CO2 for hybrids; filters for all of them; a five-year cost-of-ownership calculator; a "Can I charge at home?" planner with the OZEV grants open until 31 March 2027; smart EV tariffs compared; chargers near you; a range map; a used-EV section with 14 model guides; model pages for all 217 model ranges with charging curves and real-world range; 212 head-to-head comparisons; new lists (best under £25,000, £30,000 and £40,000, most efficient, heat pump, V2L, small cars); daily price-change and new-model pages; a data download; and EVBot answers about the page you are reading. Corrections from the new checks: the Toyota RAV4 full hybrid is no longer sold new in the UK (the RAV4 is now plug-in only), so it is marked "no longer sold new"; boot and towing figures added for 36 cars that had none.

Rapid-charging figures for every pure EV now show the peak DC charging power published for the car (previously the average over a 10-80% charge, which is lower). 97 more car versions added, including 61 model ranges that were new to the list (among them the Nissan Ariya, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Volkswagen ID.5, Citroën ë-C4, Fiat 600e, Peugeot E-308 and E-408, Vauxhall Astra Electric, Audi A2 e-tron, Jeep Avenger and Compass, Alfa Romeo Junior, Abarth 500e and 600e, Smart #1, #3 and #5, MG Cyberster, Porsche Macan Electric and Taycan, BMW i5, i7 and iX4, Mercedes-Benz EQE, Volvo ES90, Genesis, Lotus, Maserati, Land Rover, Bentley and Rolls-Royce), with 9 new manufacturer pages and 23 new model guides. Ford Explorer and Capri figures updated for the versions on sale from October 2026 (the Standard Range versions added). Electric Car Grant status re-read from GOV.UK on 11 October 2026: the Hyundai Ioniq 3 and Renault Megane E-Tech moved to Band 1. Guide prices re-checked for the pure EVs already listed; ten changed (BMW i3 and iX3, Kia EV9, MG IM5 and IM6, Polestar 3, Volkswagen ID. Buzz). Models announced without a confirmed UK price (BMW iX5, Renault Twingo E-Tech, Volkswagen ID. Cross and ID. Tiguan, Ferrari Luce, Maxus MIFA 7 and MIFA 9) are not yet listed.

New guides: road tax for electric cars, eVED pay-per-mile tax, the Congestion Charge, buying a used electric car and public charging costs, plus 44 model pages. The grant and tax guide was rewritten with current figures and sources.

The government confirmed Electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED) will start on 1 April 2028, at 3p a mile for electric cars and 1.5p for plug-in hybrids. Source: GOV.UK policy paper.
